Lego Builds – Star Wars Logo

I don’t often take the time to share some of the Lego builds that I’ve done with the kids. Those of you who follow me on social media or who have gotten to see my office background when the virtual backgrounds are off know that I have a few sets behind me. A new one was added a few weeks ago: the Star Wars logo!

This build didn’t take very long to do, just a few hours over a weekend, but it was fun to put all the hidden little details in. There was a lot of attention paid in the instructions to making it very clear how to build (unlike some sets I’ve done). Each letter also had tiny little things hidden inside… colourful pieces, interesting shapes, and in the “T” there are even some hidden ships that you can expose by lifting the top of the “T” off.

The set also has a nice detail in that a lot of the ‘black space’ has been built with a variety of interesting surfaces and textures that give the logo a “Star Wars” feel. You get the sense of the ships designs and architecture in those pieces in between the clean lines of the logo. It could have been done with all smooth surfaces and clean lines, but instead there’s both a “Lego” feel to it, as well as the unique Star Wars vibe. Really fun set, I recommend it for a quick build with the kids!
